Beginning Dec. 13, Fannie Mae will allow home buyers to use gifts and grants as their down payment on a single-family home. Up to 5% of the purchase price, given by family or other sources, can be used for the required down payment. Traditionally, buyers were required to produce down payments from their own funds. Critical Time to Help Those in Need

Last night, my 6-year-old son and I joined his Cub Scout troop at the Jeffco Action Center to fill Thanksgiving food boxes for those in need. It was great to see the boys working hard to help others, and at the end of the night, they had filled boxes for 650 families. Unfortunately, we had to stop filling boxes when the supplies starting running low. We were told that donations have been slow, so they will just have to wait and hope donors step in soon so they can finish more boxes. Then today, The Denver Post reported that turkey donations for Rescue Mission are down (article link below). The reality is there are more people in need in our community than there have been in years, yet donations are fewer and further between. Join us in…

$8000 Home Buyer Tax Credit Extended for Military Families
