Cherry Creek, Denver Homes Information

Cherry Creek is bounded by the creek of the same name to the south, University Boulevard to the east, East 6th Avenue to the north and Colorado Boulevard to the west.

Homes in Cherry Creek vary widely in era and style.  Art Deco homes that were built in the early 1900s share the neighborhood with condos, townhomes and a number of gated communities featuring Victorian-style luxury homes.  Cherry Creek is also the site of a significant amount of infill construction – a home building strategy that was applied in the neighborhood as early as the 1950s and is still common today.

Cherry Creek real estate has an average listing price of around $1 million. The median sales price of around $500,000 is over 200% Denver's median sales price as a whole.

Cherry Creek is the site of the Cherry Creek Shopping Center and Cherry Creek North, adjacent shopping complexes that contain many popular store chains, dining opportunities, upscale boutiques and salons.  Cherry Creek North is a 16 block area that, in addition to its stores and restaurants, contains Fillmore Plaza, a pedestrian area where a number of annual events are held, such as “Films on Fillmore” (summer), the 3-day Cherry Creek Arts Festival and “The Taste of Cherry Creek”, an event that spotlights Cherry Creek restaurants and benefits charity.  From May to October, Cherry Creek Fresh Market operates at Cherry Creek Shopping Center.

There are a number of popular parks in the neighborhood, including Manley Park, Pulaski Park and Cherry Creek Park, which contains a 22-mile bike path along the creek.  The East 7th Avenue Parkway runs along the East 7th Avenue Historic District, which contains some of the finest homes built between the late 1800s and the 1930s.
