LODO LOFT CONVERSIONS

LoDo lofts are the result of converting late-1800s and early-1900s warehouse and factory buildings into livable units.  This serves several purposes: it provides living space for Denver residents, it puts historic buildings to use (thus cutting down on the risk of crime and damage), it ensures that heritage buildings get regular care and maintenance and also adds valuable property taxes to the income of the city.

Most LoDo lofts share certain elements – open floor plans, exposed beams of heavy timber, brick walls, duct work, hardwood floors and large windows.  However, that’s where history ends and the modern begins, as many of these conversions are enhanced by top-of-the-line appliances, granite and steel kitchens, high speed Internet access, in-unit laundry, large balconies and in some homes, gas fireplaces.  History has never felt so good to live in!
